UMTS LTE Type 2 Frame Structure - TDD

A type 2 frame is 10 msec in duration and contains two half frames (5 msec each). Each half frame contains eight time slots (0.5 msec each) and three special purpose fields for control and guard time. The slot allocations for uplink and downlink transmission can vary providing for the ability to have asymmetrical data transmission rates (different uplink and downlink data transmission rates).
