eNB Synchronization eNB Synchronization
eNB synchronization is uniform starting time of data transmission from base stations (eNBs) so that the transmitted signal from multiple eNBs is received by mobile devices at approximately the same time. eNB synchronization is important in a single frequency network where mobile devices may receive the same signal from multiple devices. Without time synchronization, the listener may hear time gaps in the received signal as the device moves between cell radio coverage areas.
